Years seem to be going faster the older I get - and I find this quite annoying! January has always been a month of reflection for me. Not only does it mark the New Year for us in the US and many other locales, but it also marks the month of my birthday. So, the world gets older and I get older within the span one measly month. Ugh.
So last month I wrote about the project of a Christmas CD AND my second CD release... and recently some who read that entry then started asking me about a lullaby CD. And I thought that was a great idea! As far as fitting in another project this year - it's a bit unlikely. However, I really like the idea and everyone that I have asked about it (especially parents) are now lobbying me to do so! So I will try to get it done as soon as possible, but no guarantee's people!! hehe.
Yesterday, I got word that there are 2 concerts booked for this year already. One concert will be February 11th at Well's Music and the other March 3rd at the Chaparral Center. Well's Music is in Denver and and the Chaparral Center is Parker. Both locations are in Colorado. Further, we are setting up a concert for JDRF in New Mexico for sometime in Spring as well! I did a concert for them while I was still in college and it was a great pleasure. In fact, we are beginning to talk about making this a yearly concert for myself and the artists at Line19 to support! Diabetes has a history with my family and some good friends. It was due to Diabetes, that my grandfather passed away. So, it means quite a lot to me.
I'm hoping that we can not only do a concert for JDRF out in New Mexico, but in Colorado as well. Who knows, maybe we can set up yearly concerts for JDRF in both states and be able to double the opportunity to give back to the community!
Happy New Year Everyone! May it be all that you hope it to be... and Thank you Roy Williams for bringing UNC back to the basketball elite... and please may the 49ers have a decent season next year... and the best soccer (futbol) team ever LIVERPOOL... and I can't wait for World Cup this summer! Woo!
