My dog, Meko

My dog, Meko

I recently wrote about my little dog, Meko and submitted it to the "Border's Pet Project." Now I'm sure there are a billion applicants and thus, making the submission most likely not publishable, but what the hey! Below is the document:

The Sound of Reflection

Posted On: February 2nd, 2006 by Chad ·

No matter what day, what time, what year... challenges just present themselves. I have had a hard month because my long term promoter recently passed away. One day I'm making plans to set up a concert in Canada, then the next I'm scrambling to keep everything afloat while I deal with this loss which just came from out of nowhere. It truly is a testament to take life for what it's worth... to never create the drama, but to just live it. You know, cliche's have a bad connotation, and they shouldn't. When it comes down to it, sometimes we should truly just live as close to ideals as we can: "Never...    Finish Reading This Entry »

New Year, New Numbers

Posted On: January 20th, 2006 by Chad ·

Years seem to be going faster the older I get - and I find this quite annoying! January has always been a month of reflection for me. Not only does it mark the New Year for us in the US and many other locales, but it also marks the month of my birthday. So, the world gets older and I get older within the span one measly month. My answers have all been excuses really and don't deserve the space on this Journal site to list. So, I have a New Year's Resolution as of December 01, 2005. I will record an album of Christmas songs that will also feature Todd's versions of the classics as well. In fact, we have already begun production...    Finish Reading This Entry »

Caution: Fragile Contents Inside

I have had a great experience teaching piano again during my off times of playing concerts. In fact, the past few weeks have been quite eye opening. One of my students and her family has been dealing with a father that has been terminally ill for the past 4 years. She is in elementary school and took some lessons before she began taking lessons with me. Well, I met her father and he is a great man full of character. Over the past, the family has taken in numerous foster children, and some with devastating illnesses. One story that touched my heart was about one of the foster children. He had...    Finish Reading This Entry »

The Sound of White

The Sound of White

Whenever I come across a new artist that I really like, I just have to let you know about it. I went to a Howie Day/Gavin DeGraw concert and their opening act was Missy Higgins. It was just her and the piano (go figure why I would like it right away!). Her vocals are personal,...    Finish Reading This Entry »
